Not sure if you saw my earlier post but just to be sure, virtual serial drivers don't 
exist in OS 5 and higher.

Do you know how to send ASCII characters (received through the IR port) to
the focused application??? It could be "any" open application, not only one
that i created, but any application. I understood from another responses in
this forum that it could be done through a virtual serial driver. I looked
for it in the Internet, but still don�t find what i need.
