There is a free desktop app that converts pdbs to csv files and I found that the best free option if that's all you want to do. Unfortunately it's a manual process, but it's also got the advantage that you can format your logging messages with a timestamp,code,msg and import them into a spreadsheet or db for analysis. Don't remember it's name.
Par should do this, but there was some problem that I can't remember that caused me to go looking for the free tool. PDBGo has the advantage of letting you do this from a script but it's not free and has a whole lot of power that it doesn't sound like you need.
