Anyways, the reason why I'm not happy with POSS on VirtualPC is this: I can install and run a program just fine, but when I make a change, recompile, and drag the file in on the virtual Treo 600 (or even select "Install app"), the progress bar is drawn in the middle of the virtual Treo 600, and the simulator hangs.
This means each build iteration is preceded by a hard reset & "Tap your stylus...". Very frustrating :-)
Ben, thanks a bunch for your responses on this list ... you are amazing, and I've learned a ton from your posts!
Thanks, Peter

While I don't know PalmOne's plans, this is very unlikely, as PalmSource has no intentions on producing a version of the base Palm OS Garnet Simulator for any platform but Windows 2000/XP right now. You may be able to test on your real device using the USB-to-TCP bridge application that's on Florent's OS X Palm OS tools site, however.
