Can I assume this is an indoor museum?  How do you get a GPS fix which is
accurate enough to distinguish what exhibit they are looking at?

I would think you'd either need to have the user key a numeric tag ID to
request a specific audio clip, or small IR or RF zones if you want it
triggered automatially. 

For example, www.antennaaudio.com has various similar technologies.  I was
recently at a place which uses their X-plorer mp3 player (
http://www.antennaaudio.com/xp.shtml ) and found it very easy to use and
MUCH nicer than the previous audio cassette available at that facility.

I have no connection to them -- I just looked up their website after using
the system recently and thought they had a good idea going...
