Coronado Enterprises (http://www.coronadoenterprises.com) has some decent programming 
language tutorials.  There is a nominal cost. Any tutorial I've ever seen will assume 
that you are using the stdio library, though, which means the examples will use 
different functions from those in the Palm API.

On the other hand, as you've no doubt noticed, most of the Palm programming books and 
tutorials *assume* an understanding of C.  My take on this: if you don't know anything 
about C, take the time to study a non-Palm book on C and don't worry at first that you 
can't run the programs you write on the Palm.  Then turn your attention to learning 
the Palm API.
