It is working now!

It shows the "lock" icon in front of my app name and also shows the copy
protection message!

Ben, thanks a lot for your reply!

I have started referring the White paper talking about security. 

I copied the given code to set the "Copy protection Database bit". My code
compiles and executes perfectly fine but it doesn't show and "lock" icon in
front of my application in the Beam option and even the dialog box saying
"The app is copy protected and cant be beamed" doesn't pop up while trying
to beam it.

I tried to delete and reload my app as well as reset the device but no
change!

It is fairly easy.  Have you used Palm Application Explorer?  It's a 
desktop application that lets you look at all the components of a PRC file, 
including getting a disassembly of the 68K code.
