Joe, to play mp3's you can't just throw them at SndStreamCreateExtended and expect to get anything not resembling noise. They have to be decoded (decompressed) as they play, and that is not a trivial task. Unless you really want to create your own mp3 playback application, it would be much much much quicker to use something like PocketTunes. Only downside is that your users must purchase PocketTunes, but they may want to do that anyway. Bob.
