Hello Everybody,

Hope you all had a great weekend. I just read the following statements about
Palm OS on an article:

"Applications access primary storage (directly addressable memory which
includes storage RAM and dynamic RAM) either directly, in the case of most
dynamic RAM, or through the Database and Resource Managers. To access
secondary storage (add-on nonvolatile storage), however, applications use
the Expansion and VFS Managers. These have been designed to support as broad
a range of serial expansion architectures as possible."

My question is: Does it mean (a) or (b)?
(a) VFS cannot handle primary storage and I cannot use File Streaming APIs
on primary storage, or
(b) VFS can handle secondary storage in addition to primary storage?

Thanks a lot,
MN
