what's the maxium size of a pdb record? 2^16 - <record header size> = 2^16 - 8? (it didn't work for me, why?)
In Palm OS 5.x and earlier, it is just short of 64K -- the extra space is due to both the database header as well as the chunk header. I think 65505 worked, but I'd probably add a little slop and not exceed 64000 bytes.
