When loading my program under POSE 3.5 with an OS 3.1 ROM, its icon is

this can also happen on real devices, I'd like to know if there's
anything special I must take care of. My application icon is a family of
1, 2 and 8-bit 22x22 icons, with the 8-bit one having a transparency
color set.

That should be fine. If the icon isn't appearing, it means that the database did not get loaded into POSE correctly. How are you loading the program into the Emulator? Also, which Palm OS 3.1 ROMs are you using -- the Handspring Visor ones, or a different set?

What is the consequence of selecting "PalmOS 3.0 or earlier" vs "Palm OS
3.1 and later" in the Constructor settings? I use the former.

This setting just controls how some of the characters in the form are mapped to the Palm OS character set. 99% of the time, it's best to use the Palm OS 3.1 and later setting.
