I registered a Creator ID on the Palm Source web site but didn't get ant e-mail from Palm Source confirming this. Which number do I use in when I call the DmOpenDatabaseByTypeCreator() function? Will I get a unique nmber from PalmSource? Creator IDs are four character strings but the database manager functions expect UInt32 numbers; how do I go from one to the other?
You won't get a confirmation email, but the IDs you have registered can be viewed in your PalmSource.com developer account when you go to the creator ID page.
C/C++ compilers let you say 'abcd' instead of writing a number to specify the UInt32 of the creator ID.
