Subject: Accessing flash memory programatically

I'm developing a program where I need to store some bytes in the flash
memory of devices. I've had a look at FlashPro but as far as I can see it
doesn't support OS 5; seems they stopped developing it, and who's using OS
4.1 these days...? Also I checked out Handeras JackFlash, but I'm not
interested in a stand-alone program, but rather a SDK so that I can
implement the flash read/write in my program.

Does anyone have advice/tips on tools/references?

This is a critical missing feature in Palm OS and there is, as far as I am able to tell, no API set to do this.

On most OS5 devices (and some OS4.x devices) you have the ability to use external cards for backup, but no published ability to use internal flash. Though keep in mind that some devices have ROM and other devices have very little spare Flash memory.

Let us know if you find a solution!
