I have the same problem! But I typed make.exe in the console and I've got the copyright message. When I compile in the console it works, but when I try to build it in the PODS, it doesn't work. I get something like "build command is not GNU make".
Did you enter that into a cmd.exe window, or a Cygwin command window? Cygwin doesn't quite use the same PATH as the normal Windows system processes.
