Hello everybody! I'd like to know if there could be any problems saving databases on a SD card instead using the Storage Memory, only changing the cadNumber setting of DmCreateDatabase(); for example, are there problems retrieving resources?

To add to what Robert posted, the card number parameter of the Dm functions doesn't refer to external memory cards. In the original Pilot 1000/5000, the OS and RAM were on their own expansion card that was plugged into the device -- this was card 0. The original plans anticipated that devices might have memory expansion in the future using another slot like this. The only devices to ever support a "card 1" were the Handspring Visor line, where memory that was on a Springboard module was referenced using a card value of one. This system wasn't workable for external flash memory storage, so Palm and Sony jointly developed the VFS API, originally for the first CLIE devices, and then as a standard part of Palm OS starting with version 4.0.
