We've got an application we've written that runs fine, appears in the launcher, and seems to be normal in every way. However, using the Buttons preferences panel, we cannot assign the application to one of the hardbuttons (this is a Treo 600). Our app appears in the pop-up list, but when tapped on, doesn't "stick" to the poptrigger.
It's very strange.
I've done a bit of searching around but can't find any hints of a similar problem or limitation. Any thoughts?
This is a bug in the Treo 600's Buttons pref panel. It was reported on the PluggedIn developer forum earlier this year, and I confirmed it myself. The second item in the application list can never be picked -- I guess it's a bug involving the index value "1". Try renaming your application to move it further down the list, or install another application on the device that would shift it down.
