Hi, Experienced programer and while I've dabbled at Palm programming in the past, when it comes to Palm, I still really don't know very well what I'm doing.
Once place to start is with a version of rogue from sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/projects/roguelike-palm/. A yr or so ago, tried building this with the 'straight' cygwin tools on Windows. And then adding falch.net on top of that. Never got there with either. Then I made a Linux partition inside VirtualPC and this did allow me to build (once I'd gotten everything set up properly). Am trying out PODS 1.0. I'm very impressed. Was wondering what I'd do with the resources. Convert them by hand, blah, blah, blah. Found generateXRD. Worked perfectly. So now I'm trying to compile the code. Seems like you have to modify the makefile by hand ... hmm. One thing (of a different nature): how do you add another SDK to PODS? PODS seems to offer 5r4 and 6. But I want to build with SDK 5.0 (I have a first gen Tungsten T). Currently the compile is choking on file SystemMgr.rh (doesn't find it). The file appears to be nowhere in any of the SDKs I have (5, 5r4, 6). I do notice an .rh of a different name and these seem to be header files for PalmRez ... (as best I remember a resource compiler). Presumably with the XRD file all this PalmRez stuff goes away. But how? pat -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
