You create an application icon family resource, click on FamilyItems, then choose Edit>New Bitmap Family Element as many as you wish.
In the depth settings of each element you can select B&W, two shades of gray and either 256 colors or thousands of colors. Go for it! I use codewarrior7.0 with Constructor for palmos 1.5. I want to create a colored icon,but I can select "Black & White" only.Please see the attachment.
