I would disagree about the "ripoff" part...
Used the release PODS 1.0 for a 4 segment application - target is OS 3.5+ -
the alpha release (finished Friday as long as no more "features" are
introduced! <grin>) build is a little over 64K - works well on the emulators
as well as on m105, i705, and T3 test boxes.
I'm certainly not very advanced on Palm development (considering this
project started in early Aug and I made time in July to prepare for it)-
what worked for me:
Studied the device arcitecture, processors, strenghts nd limitations of the
overall design - the Palm developer manuals are a good place to start but
are certainly not the only resource...
As soon as I caught the fine print on the FlpBufferXX calls required for GCC
plus considering the processors used and then thunking layers needed on the
new devices - lights started to come on and went over to the GCC and
PRC-Tools (Sourceforge) web sites - that started a lot more reading...
(probably spent a couple of weeks of late night - read, test, - blow up an
emulator session... Review the emulator log, read some more...) then into
how shared libs worked, etc...
Anyway, It's been a lot of fun and I think PalmSource is doing a great job!
I'm still learning a lot every day! :-)
"Who must do the hard things...
Those who can." - Keep at it!
Have a great day!

So my application is too large? It's only ~30 kb...
are you saying that PODS cant make apps larger than 32kb? what a ripoff!
