Would PalmSource accept help in the form of someone getting an ARM emulator running? As I remember it, POSE started off as an external project. Perhaps POSE-NG could as well. (Not that I have the time or the inclination to pursue that road, but perhaps Trejkaz does.)

I think they would, but you've hit the nail on the head: you'll not likely find someone who can and will do the work. Especially with ARM devices, which are more complicated and less standard than a Dragonball-based device. I thought of doing it myself after leaving PalmSource, but trying to track down the device-specific information makes the task daunting.

Some time ago when people asked about a Palm OS 5 Emulator, Keith (IIRC) said that there are no plans for a OS 5 version, but when Palm OS 6 comes, there will be an Emulator for it.
I hope this wasn't forgotten and that it could be done (if at all possible)...

It's not forgotten within PalmSource, but they *are* a bit resource-constrained. When I made that statement, we had more people and fewer projects. Since then, I personally had to shift gears and work on first the Palm OS Resource Editor and then the Palm OS Developer Suite. Since then, people have left, others have been laid off, and there's still a lot of work to be done on PODS (e.g, a Mac port, better PNO support, support for additional SDKs, etc.).

What I'm saying is that with lots to do and few people to do it, some projects will get prioritized a little lower that developers would like to see.
