Is the app ownerID always 2, or there is a way to retreive it ?
No. If you're a sublaunched program, your owner ID could be 3 or 4 or whatever depth of SysAppLaunches you're at.
There is no documented way to get the owner ID for the current program. However, studying MemoryMgr.h might give you some ideas. Be aware that the concept of owner IDs goes away in Palm OS Cobalt where each process has its own heap, but this should still work from PACE applications.
