Dear Isabella, I have read of there being a shortcut that allows to "beam" to yourself. Look it up on the Net please. I have never ever tested it but I think it should work. When you then send out some data, it is treated as data coming in from the IR port. However, I have no idea about how it handles RAW IR. Actually i want to test raw IR port communication between palm and pc. I have IBM Thinkpad laptop and It supports IR port. Palm side i have wrriten an application for comunicating through IRport. Port opened successfully. when i sent some byte using srmsend function that function also send byte correctly. But other side i am not able to receive that byte. In laptop serialport application is running. Can anyone tell me how can i test this IR port application.
