Just to clarify, I'm running CodeWarrior 8 for Mac and don't have any of the utilities you are talking about there.
When running the project it tells me it will ignore the duplicate resources anyways, but I wouldn't mind fixing the problem if i can.
I would prefer not having to recreate the resources if i don't have to, but I can't see where in Constructor you can modify the resource IDs for the mentioned resources.
You can't modify the IDs -- they are generated for you from the settings in your Application preferences block. However, you can turn off those prefs for the file you're importing using Constructor, just uncheck the box in the section below the resource list.
