pilrc and par.

pilrc to convert the bitmaps, and par to replace the resources in the .prc
both of these are open source, and can run on any system.

to compile some "binaries" for your artist to use under darwin (osx)
wont take long; this stuff normally builds very easily. if you want some
help getting this setup - let me know, and contact me offlist.

i have a mac (ibook 12') and can build these binaries quite easily.
