I am trying to get the PalmSource Installer OTA demo to work. http://www.palmsource.com/installer/demo/
So Got my T3 connected to my Windows machine via bluetooth. I can surf the web and such, everything is great.
Then I go to here:
www.palmsource.com/installer/demo/ota
Ok so far. I click on "Old Way" and then "New Way". I get:
"Unable to connect to URL. palmcall:psix.appl?v=1.0.0.0(http://www.palmsource.com/installer/
demo/ota/new_way.html)(http://www.palmsource.com/installer/demo/
ota/get_newer_installer.html)
I have a T3. I am using the demo version of Palm Web Pro v. 3.0.1c I have PackageInstaller.prc installed. I tried it with and without the proxy enabled.
Anyone gotten the demo to work? Do need to do something to register the Package Installer with the web browser?
The problem is the interpretation of palmcall URLs. These are URLs that invoke other programs stored on your device. This version of Web Pro doesn't seem to be able to handle the palmcall URL correctly.
When I tested WebPro 3.5, it worked fine with this URL syntax; I don't know if this is a change from 3.0.1c or not. It could be a demo limitation as well.
