Sorry if this appears as a new thread rather than a continuation of an existing one; I haven't figured out how to reply to an existing post via email. (That's why I've been trying to figure out how to change my posting method to use a newsreader instead of email; unfortunately, nobody's been able to tell me how to change my subscription.)
Anyway, Robert Moynihan suggested that the probable reason that I couldn't install my PRC via Hotsync was a resource that was over 64 KB. I checked and found that I had a PNG file that was 85 KB so I replaced it with a smaller file and the install went OK. However, when I launched by MIDlet suite, I found that all but one of my applications failed to start: each one threw a Java ClassDefNotFoundException. Now, I realize that this is not a Java forum but the Palm Java forum is very inactive so I'm hoping someone here will know if the size of a PRC file itself is a potential problem? My PRC file is 527 KB; my previous PRCs were considerably smaller and rarely had a problem other than an error in my code. My code is working perfectly well in the Sun WTK 2.2 Beta 2 defaultColorPhone emulator but I'm not having much luck in getting this large PRC file to run well on my Tungsten E. I'm wondering if the absolute size of the PRC itself is an issue even when I have eliminated individual resources larger than 64 KB?
