The Treo 600 and 650 have a nice way of handling this. At the phone screen, enter one of these codes then hit the dial button -- 377 spells ERR on the dial pad:
Treo 600 (GSM: #*377 Treo 600 (Sprint): ##377 Treo 650 (Sprint): ##377
