To be honest, I have not yet looked at any NTP code and do not really understand how it works. However, I don't think it would be that straightforward to just port NTP code into the PalmOS.
The Palm TOD clock uses only a 1-second tick. The higher resolution tick counter uses a 10 mS tick, but it stops during sleep periods, and there is no way to reset them or to set them to any particular value. So, I would really like the TOD clocks between the two Palms to be accurate within 10 mS of each other, if that's possible. Does anyone know if there is any reference code available showing a PalmOS implementation of NTP over the IR port?
