Look at the AddressBook (now Contacts) code, itÂs a great resource for
learning how to handle with databases of all kinds. YouÂll find it in the
SDK.

But donÂt try to skip reading the companion by reading code, even if you
are an experienced programmer. PalmOs programming and platform are much
different from a PCs and from most others platforms.

Hum... oh, you can try. See it by yourself. :c)

You donÂt need to read all the companion to start coding, read until Event
Loop and then go to the memory and files and databases chapters. ItÂs a
lot of reading, but you can step over many things. To quote the companion
itself:

"The rest of this book provides details on how to implement
common application features using the Palm OS SDK. If
youâre new to Palm OS programming, you need to read the
next two chapters to learn the principles of Palm OS
application design, how to implement the main function, and
how to implement the standard event loop. The remaining
chapters you can read on an as-needed basis."

This is in the end of Programming for Palm Os in a Nutshell, so, itÂs
quite the same I have just said to you :c)

Hi,

I want to work on Database creation, storing , editing
etc. in tables, I went through the codwarrior examples
of databook, memopad etc., But it was very very hard
to study initially.
I like to create some 5 fields(ex.username,password..)
and store that data's into a Database using Tables.
Where can I get the Simple Sample code for that?

Can anyone across that, please tell me?

catherine.
