Eek! It really scares me to hear two developers whose opinions I respect say things like this.
For this area, I feel that a text-based format is so inherently superior that I honestly can't imagine why anyone is still using Constructor.

Well I suppose it is what you are used to, but I haven't messed with a text based resource list since the early days of Win 3.1, and I pretty soon migrated to GUI tools to replace having to do that (thanks Borland!)
I find it mind-blowing that PalmSource consider it even remotely acceptable to not have an effective GUI based screen designer.
