OK... how are you starting up the simulators? Did you add entries to the PalmEmulators.xml file for them, or are you just running them and then letting CW connect to them?
The latter.
There's a lot of different Simulators, but I have only one running at a time, and I start it manually and don't expect CodeWarrior to figure out whether I'm running POSE (which I normally debug with) or one of the Simulators.
Note: By editing PalmSim.INI to take the PRC out of the "MRU_PRC[2]=" list, the problem went away. weird! This despite that the PRC was not present inside of the memory of the Simulator!
PS: I'm also running XP-Pro SP2
