I believe that on the treos, if you call the NetLibOpen outside of a UI context (ie: waking up from a ProcAlarm), the device will automatically suppress any dialogs (including errors).

really? i knew it can be done in Treo device which has own network API, but i just don't know how to do it for devices other than Treo.
