Hi Guys

While trying to fix my empty treo mail outbox in another post I have
had an idea for a program & what to know if anyone has tried it or
even if it is possible.

When I get a incoming voice call if the # is not in the address book,
it will check to see if the prefix of the number is in a area of an
address you recently updated in the address book.

So if your sister moved into a new house & she gave you her new
address you have entered in the PDSA, she doesnt know her phone no.
yet, in OZ it can take weeks to get a phone connected, not like the
US.

The program can google OZ sites only for "08 8123" for example this
happens in a flash as we are searching for number and we are only
interested in the prefix of the number & get back any business that is
located within that prefix, then get the Suburb which would then could
be check again you sisters new suburb as it search the recent updates
in the PDA & the phone says you have an incoming call , the number is
is not in the address book but it is from a suburb that your sister is
now living in.

I have got a prototype happening, but I cant work out how to activate
it. The searching & the phone all seem to be able to work fast
enought, the best ways would be if it was possible to have the call
keep ringing while we held down a button.

I dont know were I would insert this code into the incoming call
stream or how to hand over to the next appropriate application.

I think this program would register for incoming calls & then hand
over to the "Phone" if the number is in the address book or some other
event like the number is barred.

Will this work ?
