I take a glance at CW and feel it is more difficult to use. I'm using PODS1.1 now, as a text editor, it is worse than Crimson Editor. However, the resource editing tool is easy to use.
The online reference of Palm OS library is difficult to understand, the j2se is much more easier to understand.
