Usually the dynamic heap setting is too low. With 512k a java app won't 
run at all, and for any app creating more than a handful objects it 
should be 2048. If you're targeting a specific device you'd better check 
how much dynamic memory the real thing has so you don't run into this 
problem on the real device while running on the simulator with 4096 
always worked.
