The shell applications could be created at runtime or hotsync by extracting
resources. Spiffy.
The neatest way I've seen to change your icon is with a display bit-depth
changer which has an identifying (1BIT!, 2BIT!, 4BIT!, 8BIT!, 16BIT) bit of
text along the bottom of a color chart, as an icon. Works quite well, but
isn't really practical for the average app. ;)
