Hi, I'm trying to connect to the Internet using a cell phone. My PDA is Garmin IQue 3600 and my cell is Motorola V600. I'm connecting them using a cable manufactured by Gomadic (www.gomadic.com). I followed the step-by-step instructions that are specified at the following address, but it didn't worked:
http://www.gomadic.com/support.html Sometimes I get the error "Modem Not Found", sometimes I get the error "No carrier". I'm running Palm OS 5.2.1, so I have the Connection category instead of the Modem category in the Prefs menu. "Modem name" is actually the connection name. I chose "Modem" in the "Connect to" combo box and "Modem type" is the "Via" option. My "Dialing" option is set to "TouchTone" and "Volume" is set to "Low". In "Idle Timeout", I don't have the option "Power Off", so I chose "Never" (the other options are 1, 2 and 3 minutes). The "Script" subitem is set to "End".
