Hi,

in Metrowerks' site, specifically here:
http://www.metrowerks.com/MW/Develop/Wireless/Default.htm

says:

---------------------------------------------
Development Tools for Palm OS

PLEASE NOTE: THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED

The industry's most popular C/C++ application development tools for the Palm
OS platform includes comprehensive support for 68K and ARM core
technologies to help ease the transition to Palm.
CodeWarrior Development Studio for Palm OS Platform

---------------------------------------------

Is that real? Is this a result of Nokia's purchase?

Nokia did not buy Metrowerks. They hired a small team of developers from Metrowerks and bought the rights to do their own version of the CodeWarrior tools for their platforms. Metrowerks continues to be a subsidiary of Freescale.

I think this notice is just an indication that MW has stopped development on the product. Effectively, this happened when I left the company for PalmSource in early 2004, but it looks like they are now admitting that on the website. AFAIK, they will continue to sell the CW for Palm OS tools, but you shouldn't expect any patches beyond the 9.3 update.
