I have an application build using gcc and prc tools. To get it working on the Treo 600 I built it by including the headers from handspring and implementing the the NAVIGATION map in my resource files. It all worked great. The changes to the OS on the T5 have rendered the application unsuable.
You aren't using the most recent SDK. The current 68K SDK is the Palm OS 68K API SDK (Fall 2004) release. This comes with a glue library that has FrmNavGlue functions that will call the right API depending on the device, either the PalmSource API or the older Handspring API.
