Hello folks,

The Tungsten E simulator from PalmOne uses a subdirectory named "Card1" in the
directory where it is installed to mirror the contents of its memory card. That is, as
soon as you copy something to a directory on the memory card of the simulator, the
corresponding file appears in the corresponding subdirectory of Card1 on your hard disk.
This is very convenient, because the next time you start the simulator, whatever you put
on its memory card during the previous session is still there.

Does the generic Garnet simulator from PalmSource have a similar capability? It didn't
create a "Card1" subdirectory when I copied something to its memory card and
the contents of the memory card was not available the next time I started the simulator -
but maybe it is possible to enable such a feature somehow?

Vesselin

You have to install the HostFS for the Simulator on the generic Simalator. http://www.palmos.com/dev/tools/simulator/HostFS_Simulator.zip

Install it in the Simulator and do a Soft-Reset. After this, you have the Card1-Dir.
