How can I use TimGetSeconds, TimSecondsToDateTime, TimeToAscii to replace

I was hoping this was a standard routine that I didnt know about, I
cant find any details about this routine.
I pasted Christians code into CW & I got errors that VNStrCopy is an
unresolved symbol :(

Have you looked at the "TimeToAscii" function, which is part of the OS.
First you would use TimGetSeconds() to find the current time.
Feed that into TimSecondsToDateTime() to convert it to a DateTimeType.
Feed the Hours and Min from the DateTimeType structure into
TimeToAscii() function which returns a formatted string.
