I think i have a relative simple solution. It won't fix it altogether, but i think it can help to some degree.
Here's what we do. Newsbies normally simply search tersm such as "palm software" at google and plamgear will come up first. We try to get to no 1 spot at google and educate potential customer before they click to palmgear and handango. I can set up a page in mobile-coder (www.mobile-coder.com) explaining esd practises. Then, all of us can link back to that page. I know seo stuff are tricky, but in general, we need to reach out to customers and they are the one who can change all this. Disable major 10% apps? Unlikely! those 10% apps enjoy good relationship with palmgear, you think they are going to risk it? It you are on the number 1 spot and enjoy very good exposure at palm gear, would you want to join the strike? Not likely! ps:// I started mobile-coder to unite palm/mobile developer, but i haven't got much time to maintain it. It is a purely non-profit website and i am actually pouring my own money into it. Do check it out ok Azrul PocketCraft Software "Mikhail Barashkov" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > The overall idea is to totally disable a MAJOR number of apps (min. 10% of > commercial apps enlisted on PalmGear) for several days. > > 0th, we need some leader who will tie this action together. > First we need to get a clear message that we want to deliver to all PalmOS > developers. > Second, we need to get this message to major news channels. > Third, we need some web site where we would have the main message and also > a forum where all developers'd be enlisted. > And 4th we would determine dates for the strike. > > Mikhail Barashkov > -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
