How to determine available storage space

This should be a simple question. I googled and didn't find anything 
relevant. Is there a function, like VFSVolumeSize, but to determine the 
availbale space in storage ram? I need to let the user know when the 
device is running out of space and calculate how much data (relevant to 
my program) can be captured yet, or how many pictures can be taken.
