Maybe you could have a look into VFSDirEntryEnumerate description...

BTW, from the puristic point of view I advise against the coding style
    if( !function() )...
when the function returns an error.

Besides some implications to the C++ programming, it is really dangerous
also in C (as a misleading coding style). It is quite possible that you
acknowledge this formal remark just in this case.
