What do you plan to do on a device that has a VFS filesystem but
doesn't have an expansion card? As far as I know, there is no such
device yet, but for the example the T5 comes with a VFS filesystem
that resides on internal flash, and someone could easily make
a device in the future that does have a VFS filesystem but doesn't
have a card slot.
Right now, the Zire 21 has no card slot (even though it is OS 5),
and PalmOne appears to be moving towards devices that have flash
memory only, so a future bottom of the line device (maybe a
"Zire 22") could have VFS on built-in flash but no slot.
In other words, why is it important whether there is a slot or
not? Why not be flexible and allow any VFS filesystem, whether
it's on SD Card or not?
