We all know that the mentioned smartphones have a GSM or CDMA transceiver, now is there any possibility to modify the OS (or Kernel) in favor of using them as wireless communicator in our own specific way within the standards of GSM and CDMA, does the current OS running on these smart phones support such feature, or as I said it is required to modify the OS or Kernel itself directly?
It's unlikely that you can do this. All of these devices are dual-core phone implementations, where Palm OS runs on one processor and the phone runs on a separate chip with its own firmware. The phone side of things tends to be pretty highly protected, and specifications for that isn't something that palmOne gives out :)
