Another update..

The author of the DB Cache Tool very kindly explained the technique he used to
clear the cache as follows:

"Clearing DBCache of TungstenT5 is carrying out by broadcasting a Notification
(SysNotifyBroadcastDeferred) HotSync Start/Finish (sysNotifySyncStartEvent and
sysNotifySyncFinishEvent)."

This is very useful, and I can confirm it works on a T5. However, it can take a
long time, and isn't the cleanest method to clear cache (but is better than
SysReset() ;-)). Why do we need to trick a device into hotsyncing to clear the
cache, couldn't PalmOne of made an API to purge the cache? Also, I have no idea
whether this works on other NVFS devices?

Anyway, thought I would let you know the latest, if anyone can find a cleaner
method of clearing the cache please let me know?

Regards,

Ryan
