I have a user with a T5 who is having trouble getting her database (.pdb file) synced to her device. My product generates PDB files on the PC and then they're synced from there either to main memory or a memory card. Due to the apparent volume of her data, the PDB file is 24 Mb in size (!), which is a new record for my product as far as I know. When she syncs this DB it fails, telling her that there is not enough memory, even though she reports 112Mb free on the T5. I am aware of some of the inefficiencies of the T5's flash memory when dealing with a lot of DB records, but my data is highly packed, and in fact her DB has only about 5000 Palm DB records in it.
I don't have a T5 or access to one, so I'm wondering if she is syncing the data to the right destination. Does the T5 distinguish between some sort of "program" or "local" memory vs. the memory that it calls an "internal drive"? Or does there have to be a certain amount of free local memory to sync the database into before writing it to flash or something like that? I guess another option would be for her to get an SD card and try copying the PDB file to that, which should definitely work assuming that the PDB file is constructed correctly.
