Hm, I've just downloaded the basic stuff they offer by default + the gcc
stuff from developing section. IIRC, the prc-tools page also suggest
what to download and install from cygwin to work correctly. I must say,
the whole cygwin stuff is just great. I've never had any problems with
installation. If you missed something, you just run the setup again,
locate the package (this may a bit difficult for beginners) and press
install. OTH, PODS will have all this bundled on one CD.

BTW: cygwin even has a running X-server and allows you to run at least
commandline apps compiled for linux on your windows machine. It's
surprising.
