I've installed PODS twice now and both times it would work that day and then the next day it would give errors whenever the Palm OS C/C++ Perspective (among other things) tried to open. The log file shows "!MESSAGE Plug-in com.palmsource.eclipse.palmoscore was unable to load class com.palmsource.eclipse.palmoscore.PalmOSCPerspective."
