And pre means before, which would be even less correct since, as you said, image weren't around before 3.5. Maybe we should adopt something similar to algebraic notation: [3.5, infinity) vs (3.5, infinity). Or maybe I'm just too much of a math nerd ;-) Then again, when I go back and read the original post from Chris that sparked this tangent, maybe when he said "pre-4.1" he meant exactly that.
